Youth Rugby
“Here at the Elk Valley Rugby Club, we welcome players as young as 3 years old to pick up a rugby ball and have some fun”
Rookie rugby is a non-contact sport that promotes the core values of rugby along with the basic skills of running, passing, catching and kicking. Rookie rugby players are grouped by age with up to 14 other players and at least 2 coaches per group. Our enthusiastic team of coaches provide a fun, safe environment for children to learn the core values and basic physical skills.
Fall Camp 2024
Rookie Rugby is back for the 2024 season!
Join us for our Fall 2024 kids program. Ages 3-12 years old. Sign up for 6 weeks of Saturday morning rugby in Fernie. Registration is $40 per child and will include a Rookie Rugby T-Shirt.
Note: Ages 13 - 17 are invited to join the camp but must register through Fernie Secondary School or the Fernie Academy for insurance reasons.
